Made of impossibly soft superwash merino, Malabrigo's Mecha takes color in the most vivid, rich way. The colourways have a rich sheen on Mecha's single-ply merino wool with a subtle thick-thin texture. The colours are even better in person!
Soft as all Malabrigo yarns, Mecha has a slight thick-and-thin texture, a fantastic loft, and is the perfect size for quick but not-too-heavy projects.
Perfect for accessories, garments, baby and kids items, cables, textured stitches. Many of our customers also use it for weaving and rug hooking. Beckie designed her Feels Like Winter Pullover with this yummy yarn. Karen knit Felix Pullover with it. Susan made Rug in two colours of Mecha. And Cathy knit our Chantelle Hat sample in it! Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each bag is a different dye lot, and skeins may vary from bag to bag. In the tagged (*) colors, the skeins may vary one from the other even within the same bag. To ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.
